Join us in Celebrating International Day of the Girl Child!
KiliTech is celebrating International Day of the Girl Child by dedicating all of this month’s donations to distributing menstrual health kits and supporting girls education at Kisimani school in Arusha, Tanzania. Girls in Tanzania have the right to stay in school when menstruating, not to be cut (FGM), and not to be sold as child brides.
DONATE NOW AND HELP GIRLS STAY IN SCHOOL
One in six girls miss school when menstruating because they do not have access to, or cannot afford, menstrual pads. Two out of five girls are married before the age of eighteen, and female genital mutilation is still being practiced at a rate of 20% – 70% in Tanzania. KiliTech supports girls by working directly with schools to educate and help girls have a voice.Since 2012, 11 October has been marked as the International Day of the Girl. The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights.THANK YOU!!Laurel & Tony
